<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail which can ensure the stability of a human body when the user is seated, and positively supports stagger of the body in all directions when he stands up, by constituting the handrail of a horizontally arranged flat arm plate, a lower handle rod frontward extending from the front end of the plate, and an upper handle rod upward extending from the front end of the lower handle rod. SOLUTION: A handrail R for a building, specifically for a seat type toilet stool T set on a floor surface F of a toilet booth, is mounted on a booth wall surface W, ant it is formed of a rigid or a semirigid synthetic resin or the like. A horizontally arranged flat arm plate 1 of the handrail is placed at a location where the user can mount his arm on the plate when seated on the seat type toilet stool T. A lower handle rod 2 is slantly upward extended from the front end of the arm plate 1, and an upper handle rod 3 is upward extended from the front end of the lower handle rod 2. The lower handle rod 2 is the same in cross section as the arm plate 1 at a portion closer to the same, while it is tapered down and has a circular cross section at a portion closer to the upper handle rod 3 so as to be gripped. An upper rod 4 of the upper handle rod 3 is arranged orthogonally to the arm plate 1.</p> |
