PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop to dot data and store in a short time, thereby printing at high speed by alternately repeatedly executing dot development, redundancy compression continuously with the dot development and dot development continuously with the redundancy compression. SOLUTION: Dot data is operated from a plotting command received from a main processor 210, or is formed with reference to a character pattern memory 262. The dot data is dot developed to a frame memory 261. Under the control by the main processor 210, the developed dot data is read out, compressed in redundancy, and stored in an encode data memory 263. A compression/expansion process part 253 expands the compressed data to dot data and feeds the expanded dot data to an output circuit 270. These are repeatedly carried out. |
