PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a tunnel safely and easily while shortening the construction time in the case of meeting with a defective ground when the tunnel is constructed by using a tunnel boring machine. SOLUTION: A tunnel T is constructed by a tunnel boring machine in which a cutter head 5 is installed at a front section through a cutter head support 1 and a thrust gripper 8 mounted in an extensible manner in the longitudinal direction by a thrust jack 7 through a main beam 6 is disposed to a rear section. Segments S are assembled at the rear section of the cutter head support 1, and fixed onto the cutter head support 1, reaction is taken in a tunnel wall by the thrust gripper 8 and the cutter head 5 is pipe-jacked together with the segments S in the case of meeting with the defective ground F at that time. The assembly and fixing of the next segments S at the rear sections of the segments S and the push operation of the segments are repeated, the tunnel boring method in the inferior ground is executed through the inferior ground F by continuously connecting the segments S, S..., and the cutter head support 1 and the segments S are separated. |
