PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a wheelchair in a vehicle in a short time by working at a constant position, especially on the back side of the wheelchair only, without changing a working position for fixing work by a nursing person. SOLUTION: This fixing device 10a comprises plural engagement elements 44 to be detachably engaged with lateral frames 22 disposed on the side of both wheels 20a, or the like, of a wheelchair mounted on a vehicle, an actuation support part 46 capable of detachably moving the engagement elements 44, and forcedly pushing them down for fixing the whole body of the wheelchair to the vehicle, and an operation part 48 to operate detaching/attaching movement of the engagement elements 44 to the lateral frames 22 at a remote position. Fixing work can thus be conducted at a constant position on the back side of the wheelchair as it is stopped, thereby labor reducing and work simplifying performance can be secured.
