PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device supporting load by a car side pulley, etc., installed in a hoistway with a wound main rope suspended by a 2:1 roping by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: One end close to a hoisting machine 6 of a supporting beam 8 supporting a car side pulley 13 and a balance weight side pulley 14 is supported by an upper end of a guide rail for balance weight 5 via a pivotally holding frame 20 pivotally holding the car side pulley 13 and the other end is supported by an upper end of the other guide rail for balance weight 5. As a result, load supported by the supporting beam 8 via the car side pulley 13 acts as simple vertical direction load on the guide rails for balance weight 5 on both sides. Therefore, load by the car side pulley 13 can be supported by a simple constitution, the supporting structures of the guide rails for balance weight 5 can be simplified, the rails 5 can be easily installed and manufacturing cost is reduced.
