PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the skew, double feed and poor feed of a sheet. SOLUTION: Sheets S fed out by a feed means 21 are separated sheet by sheet by a separating pawl 12 provided in both angular parts of a sheet feed side end part of a sheet storage means 1 which can store the sheets S of different sizes, and also side ends of the sheets S stored in the sheet storage means 1 are regulated by a side end regulation means 6 provided movably in a direction orthogonal to a sheet feed direction in the sheet storage means 1. The separating pawls 12 are moved in a direction orthogonal to the sheet feed direction associated with movement of the side end regulation means 6 by separating pawl moving means 36, 36a, 35a, 38 so as to decrease moving amounts of the separating pawls 12 as compared with a moving amount of the side end regulation means 6, so as to change a hooking amount to the separating pawls 12 of the sheets S in accordance with the sheet sizes.
