PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet the need of very high pressurization by effectively reducing stress that concentrates in a peripheral portion of a branch hole, while ensuring required content volume of a rail hole without enlarging a common rail longitudinally. SOLUTION: A rail hole 10 is formed in the center of a common rail 1, and is constructed from a main passage 11 relatively small in inner diameter, and a content volume adjusting portion 12 relatively large in inner diameter. The length and content volume of the rail hole 10 are equal to those of the conventional product. In a plurality of areas of a cylindrical wall 1 3a surrounding the main passage 11 of the rail hole 10, a plurality of branch holes 14 are formed so as to open to the main passage portion 11 by intersection. On the other hand, there exist no branch holes 14 that open to the content volume adjusting portion 12. |
