INK RECEPTIVE SHEET FOR FUSION THERMAL TRANSFER PRINTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink receptive sheet for a fusion thermal transfer printer which shows extremely high recording properties and glossiness when an image is recorded on the sheet using a fusion thermal transfer printer. SOLUTION: In the ink receptive sheet for a fusion thermal transfer printer with an ink receptive layer formed on a base material, the ink receptive layer contains 30-80 wt.% hollow polymer with an average particle dia. of 0.3-2.0 μm manufactured by an alkali swelling process and 70-20 wt.% binder resin. In addition, the surface glossiness (JISZ-8741; measured at 60 deg.) of a non-recorded part after recording of the ink receptive layer is 50% or more.
