PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow mattress suture by forming a surgery staple by bending a filament used for a cutis suture operation such that it has forked first and second claws at its both ends, each claw projects inward, the ends of first claw are faced to each other and the ends of second claw are also faced to each other. SOLUTION: This staple 40 made of stainless steel a titanium alloy is formed by bending a filament with circular cross section in a substantially elliptic shape, and has a forked first claw 40A and a second claw 40B at both ends of the filament, respectively. The ends of the first claw 40A at one end are faced inward and the ends of the second claw 40B at the other end are also faced inward. The first claw 40A has a cut surface 40AA outward near its tip, and the second claw 40B is formed sharply in a smooth tapered shape from its base (branch part). At this time, a ratio of bent portion A to straight portion B on one side is set about 2:1, a ratio of width to height of the staple 40 is set 2:1, the width and the height are respectively set in ranges of 8-10 mm and 4-5 mm. |
