摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject polymer containing a hydrolyzable silyl group introduced in a high efficiency to an end, expectable to have high weather resistance, useful for a curable composition, by reacting a specific hydrocarbon- based polymer with a specified isocyanate compound. SOLUTION: (A) A saturated hydrocarbon-based polymer obtained by cationic polymerization in which a polymer main chain containing a hydroxyl group at the end forms a carbon-carbon single bond is reacted with (B) a hydrolyzable silyl group-containing isocyanate compound (e.g. isocyanatopropyltriethoxysilane, etc.). The component A is preferably obtained by reacting a halogen end hydrocarbon-based polymer (preferably isobutylene polymer) obtained by cationic polymerization to form a carbon-carbon single bond with a compound (e.g. octadienyl acetate, etc.), containing a protected hydroxyl group and a carbon- carbon double bond to give a hydrocarbon-based polymer containing a protected hydroxyl group at the end and deprotecting the polymer.
