PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject device simple in structure, designed to uniformize the water content of the medium therein and control a plant to a state ideal for its cultivation to improve growth. SOLUTION: This plant cultivation device has such a scheme that, water is fed to a medium 2 having both water-absorbing and water-holding ability and held in a cultivation bed 1 to grow a plant planted in the medium 2; a sheet material 4 having both water-absorbing and water-holding ability is extendedly laid along the inner surface of the bed 1, and water fed to the medium 2 is allowed to migrate inside the bed 1 via the sheet material 4 so as to uniformize the water content of the medium 2.
