PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the control of power saving mode/return at a low cost and to shorten the return time from return to the formation of an image. SOLUTION: An image forming system is equipped with a digital copier including a scanner SCR, a printer PRR and a first MPU 200 taking charge of the sequence control of the printer and a printer controller 212 having the connection function with an external machinery such as a host computer or the like to transmit image data between the external machinery and the controller and printing out the image data given by the external machinery by the printer PRR while always receiving a normal operation voltage of +5 VE. The second MPU 225 of the controller 212 cuts off the operation voltages +5 V, +24 V to the first MPU 200 and a process element to be controlled by the MPU 220 when a power saving standby is formed and applies operation voltages +5 V, +24 V when an activating condition is satisfied. The second MPU 225 sets H to a signal at a time of the initialization due to the turning-ON of a main power supply and sets L to the signal at a time of cutting-off for power saving standby and the first MPU 200 refers to the signal at the time of the initialization due to the turning-ON of the main power supply. |
