PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an innovative hanger of a simple structure for a safety net or sheet which remarkably enhances productivity regarding mounting to and removal from a mounting member as compared with products of the prior art, and which provides high mounting strength. SOLUTION: In this hanger for a safety net or sheet, two hanger halves 1 each having a pipe fitting part 2 at one end and a hook part 3 at the other are freely rotatably pivoted together at their ends and arranged parallel to each other. When the pipe fitting part 2 of one of the hanger halves 1 fits over a pipe 4 and the pipe fitting part 2 of the other hanger half 1 is rotated to fit the pipe fitting part 2 of the other hanger half 1 over the pipe 4, an annular pipe mounting ring 5 consisting of the pipe fitting parts 2 can be formed, with the hook parts 3 located on both sides of the mounting ring 5. When a hanging element 6 such as a safety net or sheet is hung on the hook parts 3, the load of the hanging element 6 prevents each hanger half 1 from being inverted and returned to its original position.
