<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a proper amt. of low viscosity silicone oil from the start of use by a simple structure by impregnating a porous oil holding member with silicone oil and respectively providing heat-resistant fiber felt specified in hardness and an oil coating amt. control layer on the oil coating side thereof. SOLUTION: An oil coating roller l is constituted by arranging an oil transfer layer 11 to a porous oil holding member 2 and arranging an oil coating amt. control layer 3 on the oil transfer layer 11. The oil coating roller 1 is incorporated in a fixing device 4 and recording paper 7 is passed through the nip between a heating/fixing roll 5 and a pressure roll 6 to fix the toner 8 transferred to the surface 7a of the recording paper 7. In order to prevent the adhesion of the toner 8 of the recording paper 7 to the heating/fixing roll 5 at this time, an oil coating roll 1 is brought into contact with the heating/fixing roll 5 to apply silicone oil being release oil to the heating/fixing roll 5. By this constitution, a proper amt. of silicone oil is always uniformly applied to the heating/fixing roll 5.</p> |
