PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-embedded type column base for use in a steel encased reinforced concrete structure, which can positively transfer stress from a column steel frame to a foundation and facilitates construction of the column base. SOLUTION: An anchor bolt 8 which is embedded in an upper surface of a foundation F of a steel encased reinforced concrete structure, except for its front end, and a base plate 7 which is formed at a base portion of a column steel frame 6 in one body, are connected together at the upper surface of the foundation F. Main reinforcements 9 embedded in the upper surface of the foundation F except for their front ends are arranged around a column steel frame 6, to thereby form a steel encased reinforced concrete column 4. In a non-embedded type column base of the steel encased reinforced concrete structure, which transfers stress of the steel encased reinforced concrete column 4 to the foundation F, when the column main reinforcements 9 are embedded in the foundation F, they are kept from contact with the foundation F by a predetermined depth L from the upper surface of the foundation F.
