PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating wave absorber which can be maintained at a low cost, assembled in a relatively short time without requiring any special materials and keep the inside of a port or a harbor definitely quiet by its wave absorbing action over a wide range. SOLUTION: This floating wave absorber 10 (10a, 10b, 10c...) comprises a float supporting body 12 provided on water surface and a flat air ventilating wall body 14 having a plurality of air ventilating holes with the diameter sufficient for passing wind directly, which is supported by the float supporting body 12 erected at a required angle on the water surface. Thus, the air ventilating wall body comprises netting or the like which is lightweight and withstands against strong wind and can be installed easily at a low cost.
