PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum packaging machine suitable for filling and vacuum packaging (vacuumizing and mouth sealing) a heavyweight material containing a large amount of liquid. SOLUTION: A vacuum packaging machine constituted of a bag feed section A receiving empty bags W0 from an empty bag feeder 1, a filling section B feeding a content in the empty bags W0 transferred from the bag feed section A and a packaging section C applying the vacuum packaging to filled bags W1 (bags filled with a content) transferred from the filling section B. The empty bags W0 are transferred from the bag feed section A toward the filling section B by an empty transfer means 2 moving in a reciprocative manner between the bag feed section A and the filling section B to deliver the empty bags to a filled bag transfer means 3, and then bag mouths are opened and returned again to the bag fee section A. The empty bags W0 are received on the filling section B by the filled bag transfer means 3 moving in a reciprocative manner between the filling section B and a packaging section C, and filled with the content, and then the filled bags W1 are transferred from the filling section B to the packaging section C to deliver the filled bags to a vacuum packaging device 12 and returned again to the filling section B. A bag bottom supporting means 4 is moved in synchronization with the filled bag transfer means 3 at all times to support the bag bottoms during the filing of the empty bags W0 and the transferring of the filled bags W1.
