PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the entirely sharp printing surface with a uniform printing pressure on a plurality of parts of an adhesive tape used for sealing. SOLUTION: This printing device is for printing an adhesive tape T to be used for a case sealer for winding out a tape from a web W and cutting the same by a unit length for sealing a box. In this case, a thermal transfer device 11 has the printing device disposed in a path of the payed-out tape to that an ink on a transfer ribbon is thermally transferred on the tape, with a thermal head facing the non-adhesive surface of the tape. A pressure receiving plate 1107 disposed facing the thermal transfer device 11 with the tape T interposed therebetween, for supporting the pressure at the time of printing the tape, and a highly peelable endless rotating belt mechanism 10 rotatirely driven endlessly while being in contact with the adhesive surface of the tape T for preventing the tape T from getting into contact with the pressure receiving plate 1107, are provided. Furthermore, the thermal transfer device 11 is provided movably for enabling a printing operation on two or more sites in a unit length of a tape T. |
