PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce or eliminate positional shift of recording liquid due to different ejection speed from a print head. SOLUTION: A print head is moved in second direction reverse to first direction and a first dot is formed on a medium by jetting a first drop of first liquid at a first speed during movement of a head in the first direction. A second dot is formed on the medium by jetting a first drop of second liquid at a second speed during movement of the head in the first direction and a third dot is formed on the medium by jetting a second drop of the second liquid at the second speed during movement of the head in the second direction. The third dot is substantially aligned with the second dot in the direction perpendicular to the first direction. A fourth dot is formed on the medium by jetting a second drop of the first liquid at the first speed during movement of the head in the second direction and jetting of the first and second drops of the first liquid is delayed relatively such that the distance between the first and forth dots is equal to or shorter than a specified value.
