PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove water hammer generating at the time of switching from electrolytic water to clean water with a simple structure. SOLUTION: In the generator of electrolytic water, an ionization tank 1 in which a positive pole room 14 and a negative pole room 15 are separated with a separator 13, is connected to an acidic water discharge path 2 and an alkaline water discharge path 3. Besides, the generator of the electrolytic water is provided with a flow rate sensor 9 for the water passing through the ionization tank 1. Only at the time when the flow rate sensor 9 detects that the water is not passing through the ionization tank 1, an electromagnet stop valve 20 is closed. When the electromagnet valve 20 is closed, voltage is made to such a state that voltage is not impressed on electrodes of the ionization tank 1, then clean water is discharged from the alkaline water discharge path 3.
