PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electromagnetic shielding plastic material in which a film excellent in adhesiveness, electromagnetic shielding characteristic, moisture resistance and corrosion resistance is formed on the surface of a plastic molding product and provide a method for producing the above material by using blast treatment and vacuum technique. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic shielding plastic material is produced by a production method comprising a first step for blowing alumina particles having 20-100μm average particle diameter and random shape onto the surface of a plastic molding product by air having 2-5 kg/cm2 pressure to carry out blast treatment and removing alumina particles remaining on the plastic molding product and a second step for forming a first layer film of copper so as to have 0.5-6μm film thickness onto the above surface. The first layer film satisfies a prescribed adhesiveness, electromagnetic shielding characteristic, moisture resistance and corrosion resistance.
