PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the maximum stroke of a pedal constant regardless of the initial position of a pedal pad while enabling a change of the initial position of the pedal pad. SOLUTION: This pedal device for vehicle is provided with a first member 10 supported freely to be turned around a rotary shaft in relation to a car body and energized in the predetermined direction so as to abut on a stopper 44 of the car body, an accelerator cable 43 to be moved with the turning of the first member 20, a second member 20 having an operation pedal 21, and an adjusting member 30 for changing the position relation of the operation pedal to the first member while moving a screw 34 and for integrally connecting the first member and the second member with each other. With this structure, when the screw 34 is moved, the second member 20 is moved so as to change the initial position of the pedal pad, but since a distance between abutment parts 15, D1 is not changed, the maximum movement of the accelerator cable can be kept constant.
