PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent hand from pinching when a bed is extended by attaching a safety cover body slidably up and down at the pivotally connecting part which pivotally connects a front bed half body and a rear bed half body foldably. SOLUTION: A safety cover body 3 is attached slidably up and down at the pivotally connecting part 2 which pivotally connects a front bed half body and a rear bed half body of a foldable bed with a pivotally supporting shaft. In an intermediate condition in folding the foldable bed, inner end parts 17, 18 of the front frame 7 and the rear frame 8 rotate about the axis of the pivotally supporting shaft 1, and the inner ends 17, 18 abut on the upper wall 4 inner surface 4a of a safety cover body 3 to push up the safety cover body 3 upward. Namely, as the foldable bed is folded, the safety cover body 3 automatically slides upward. When the safety cover body 3 is pushed downward while the foldable bed is folded completely, the safety cover body 3 slides downward D along the longitudinal direction of a long hole 12.
