PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a night soil decomposition type simple toilet which is capable of efficiently and surely decomposing night soil to water and carbon dioxide by the effect of microorganisms by improving the safety of a user, thereby preventing the trouble and accident of equipment as far as possible and does not requiring dipping up of the night soil. SOLUTION: This simple toilet has a night soil separation tank 12 which has an opening 21 in the upper part and internally houses a night soil separation accelerator and an agitating device 13 which turns around a revolving shaft 33 extended approximately toward a horizontal direction and has agitating vanes 37a to 37d radially disposed from the revolving shaft 33. The night soil separation tank 12 has through-holes 22a and is segmented to a first space 23 and a second space 24 by a partition wall 22. The opening 21 faces the first space 23 and the agitating device 13 is arranged in the first space 23. The device has a first heating device which controls the temperature in the first space 23 to the temperature suitable for decomposition of the night soil by the night soil separation accelerator and a water feeding device 30 which supplies water to the first space 23 according to the humidity in the first space 23. The bottom of the second space 24 is formed in a position lower than the bottom of the first space 23. Further, the device has a second heating device for evaporating the liquid according to the volume of the liquid stored in the second space 24.
