A hollow sucker rod pumping system permits the production of fluid within th e hollow rod string. The system is adapted to include a rigid wellhead which allows access to the casing annular space, one-trip running and setting of a pump with the hollow rod string. Preferably, means to heat the rod string electrically may be provided.
