METHOD FOR CHANGING UP/DOWN STREAM BANDWIDTH OF ADSL SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for changing an up/down stream bandwidth of an ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) system is provided to change a transmission bandwidth of data passing an ADSL line according to a subscriber's request. CONSTITUTION: A subscriber terminal transmits a request signal for requesting a change of a bandwidth to a telephone office terminal(400). The telephone office terminal receives the request signal for requesting the change of the bandwidth from the subscriber terminal and transmits the first message as a response signal to the subscriber terminal(410). The subscriber terminal received the first message from the telephone office terminal and transmits the second message to the telephone office terminal(420). The telephone office terminal received the second message from the subscriber terminal and transmits the third message to the subscriber terminal(430). The subscriber terminal transmits an admission message to the telephone office terminal(440).
