PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve performance of a system by comparing refill-entry discriminated by a decoded result of an index with hit-entry in a cycle in which refill operation is performed, selecting entry being different from refill-entry discriminated by a decoded result when the both are coincident, and preventing conflict relation at the time of refill operation. SOLUTION: An index decoder 4 compares refill-entry performing refill operation discriminated by decoding an update index from a refill control section 5 with a hit-entry signal of match operation of other stage in the same cycle as a cycle in which refill operation from a CAM 2 is performed. When the refill-entry and the hit-entry signal are coincident, entry being different from refill-entry, for example, adjacent entry, is made entry being object of refill, a word lines of the CAM 2 and a RAM 3 corresponding to this entry is selected.
