PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an inspection method of coating liquid for measuring the ratio of an analytical object component and/or water content in coating liquid for an electrophotographic photosensitive body, highly precisely and efficiently without mixing of impurities. SOLUTION: In this inspection method of coating liquid for an electrophotographic photosensitive body, a peak area ratio of an analytical object component in the coating liquid is obtained by pyrolysis gas chromatography, and a peak area ratio of the analytical object component in coating liquid having a known component ratio and water content is obtained beforehand, and the ratio of the analytical object component and/or the water content in the coating liquid is obtained by comparing the peak area ratios.
