PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the setting of retrieval conditions on a user terminal in the retrieval service system equipped with the user terminal and a center and to provide information complying with a retrieval request for a user at low cost while securing real-time response. SOLUTION: With profile information sent from the user terminal 20, a profile database 16a of the center 10 is updated to structure an information database 16. In this case, the profile information used for retrieval is generated including environment and state information on a user and request and state information on the user which enable proper retrieval in addition to speaking information on the user. The center 10 performs the information database 16 according to profile information like this and provides information for the user terminal 20.
