<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide image data communications on electronic mail communications and to enable speedy communication according to the ability of an opposite party to be performed by providing the data base of information on the communicating party and function information with an optimal means corresponding to the connection style of internet and the device state of electronic mail server in respective transmission and reception side devices. SOLUTION: An electronic mail/facsimile exchange device has the connection style of dedicated line connection, dial-up connection and connection to plural internets and performs the communications of electronic mail with the post office of electronic mail/facsimile exchange device or electronic mail server through the optimal method corresponding to respective styles. Personal computers(PC) 200-1 and 200-2 are connected to a LAN 200-16 and exchange information with the other each of PC, an electronic mail server 200-5, an electronic mail/facsimile exchange device 200-7 and an IP router 200-9 through the LAN 200-16.</p> |
