PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display element adjustment mechanism which is capable of saving the space. SOLUTION: This mechanism has an outer frame 12 which is fixed to a mounting surface 11a for installing a liquid crystal panel 130B by enclosing the circumference of the liquid crystal panel 130B, a leaf spring 13 which brings the liquid crystal panel 130B into pressurized contact with the mounting surface, a leaf spring 17 which energizes the liquid crystal panel 130B in two parallel directions orthogonal with the mounting surface, adjusting screws 15a and 15b which are screwed with the outer frame 12 and press the one side of the liquid crystal panel 130B against the energizing force of the leaf spring 17, tapered members 21 and 22 which are arranged by bringing their slopes into contact with both ends on one side and adjusting screws 14a and 14b which are screwed with the outer frame 12 and press the tapered members 21 and 22 from the same direction as the direction of the adjusting screws 15a and 15b. As a result, the adjustment of the vertical and lateral directions and inclination of the display element may be easily executed by the first and second adjusting screws moving in the same direction. The adjustment work may, therefore, be carried out if there is the space on only one direction with respect to the display element.
