PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit fast access to a database wherein a collection of instances of the same data type is managed as data. SOLUTION: This method has a step wherein conditions for instances constituting data of multiple columns are inputted and an inquiry 4 including a predicate for evaluating whether or not a group of instances determined by the same index meeting the specified conditions is present is received, a step wherein it is decided whether or not an index is generated for one or more columns in the predicate in the inquiry, a step wherein when the index is generated, the identifier of table data which are true to the predicate is obtained by accessing the index, and a step when the index is not generated, it is decided whether or not the column data obtained by accessing the database meet the conditions specified in the predicate in the inquiry.
