<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lay a cable later at the bottom of water without causing redundancy in a cable or giving fatigue to the cable. SOLUTION: An underwater cable layer is equipped with a cable drawer 10, which catches a cable C from both sides and draws it in. A cable C is cast in the water, without attachment of a float or the like and is laid on the bottom of the water from a barge shifting on the water. The worker lays a cable C via an excavator 5, while shifting an aqueous cable layer in the form of guiding and the cable C via a cable drawer 10 at the bottom of the water behind the barge. This method can prevent the cable C from shifting by the influence of tidal currents or wind and bending in circular form, and also can shift the aqueous cable layer along the cable C without tracting it with the barge.</p> |
