PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stereoscopic photographing device that can comfortably photograph an object without giving a sense of displeasure to a photographer and a person viewing a photographed picture. SOLUTION: The stereoscopic photographing device controls a convergent angle of two optical systems that collects the light from an object to form an optical image on an image forming plane depending on the distance up to the object. In this case, a lens microcomputer 412-1 has functions provided with a reliability confirming means 11, a convergent angle fixing means 12 and a reference angle generating means 13, and fixes the convergent angle to a prescribed angle, that is, to fix the convergent angle of the two optical systems equivalent to an angle in the case that the object distance is 1.5-3 m when, e.g. a photographer suddenly changes the object or it is discriminated that the reliability of a range finding signal is low due to a sudden change in a range finding signal resulting from the moved object disappearing from the photographing range. Furthermore, a luminance signal 43 from the object can change the congestion angle of the two optical systems. |
