PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that is caused when a counting means, such as a key counter is detached by accepting the setting of a restart mode where the restart of image forming is permitted, when the counting means is reattached in a stop mode after the paper is ejected. SOLUTION: This image forming device starts its operation when a key counter 1 is attached to a key counter attaching part 2 and stops its operation when the counter 1 is removed from the part 2. A setting part 10 has selection buttons to select the modes, and a service staff, a manager, etc., of the image forming device can select and set the selection buttons via the special operations when the image forming device is delivered. The set state is written into a nonvolatile memory. However, the general users cannot operate the part 10. A reading part 50 feeds the sheets of original one by one, scans every original surface, while passing through an optical system set at a stop position or moving the optical system, reads the images by a sensor such as a CCD and stores the image information in an image memory 30. |
