<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device which can save the power consumption when an abnormal pseudo-input condition occurs without providing special hardware. SOLUTION: When a special key input operation is performed (S106) and, moreover, the continuation time of this special key input condition is judged to be not smaller than a specified value (S108), a low power consumption mode is set (S114). Next, it is judged whether or not there is a special key input operation (S116) and, when the special key input operation is not performed, a step is returned to the step at which existence/nonexistence of the special key input operation is judged and a standby condition is entered until the special key input operation is performed (S116). That is, even if a key is coincidentally pressed during this time, the input is ignored and the low power consumption mode is maintained. On the other hand, when the special key input operation is performed (S116) and, furthermore, the continuation time of the special key input condition is judged to be not smaller than the specified value (S118), the low power consumption mode is released and a normal power consumption mode is set (S100).</p> |
