PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic inspection method and a device capable of detecting, easily and highly accurately, the position of a defect in the plate surface direction and the position thereof in the plate thickness direction. SOLUTION: This device has a reflected-echo detecting means 10 for irradiating an ultrasonic wave into a test object 2 and for detecting reflected echo of the ultrasonic wave reflected by a discontinuous part of the test object 2, and a diffracted-wave detecting means 11 for irradiating an ultrasonic wave into the test object 2 and for detecting the ultrasonic wave diffracted by the discontinuous part. And, the reflected-echo detecting means 10 and the diffracted- wave detecting means 11 are composed integrally and moved simultaneously along the same inspection part 3. |
