PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellently reliable image forming device which obtains a uniform, high-density image irrespective of humidity. SOLUTION: A part where a vis 42 for an upstream shield is passed through is a horizontal long hole 43, and the upstream shield 40 is horizontally slidable relative to a bottom shield 41 unmovably fixed to the device. Thereby, a horizontal distance S between a wire 83 and the leading end W of a restricting member 80 is variable. Movement of the restricting member 80 is controlled so that the distance S is optimum according to an amount of moisture. When humidity is high, a transfer current is increased by making the distance S wide and transfer omission is, therefore, prevented. When humidity is low, scatter is prevented by making the distance S narrow. Thus, irrespective of the amount of moisture, a uniform, high-density image can be obtained at all times. |
