PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a musical instrument input device for playing a game which facilitate input manipulation while maintaining a feel at the time of input to a plucked string instrument and enables a user to easily enjoy the game. SOLUTION: This guitar input device has a casing 30 for input and an input section disposed at this casing 30 for input. The input section has plural finger manipulation input mechanisms 32 projected from the casing 30 for input by assuming the strings of the plucked string instrument. The respective finger manipulation input mechanisms 32 have finger manipulation pieces 48 and microswitches detecting the input to these finger manipulation pieces 48. The plural finger manipulation pieces 48 are lined up and disposed in a string extension direction and are respectively disposed in the positions offset from each other in a finger manipulation direction.
