PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit and receive data being inconformable to MIDI standard through an MIDI interface circuit, and to attain a file management. SOLUTION: A personal computer device PC and an electronic music instrument EMI incorporate a MIDI interface circuit respectively, and they are connected to each other through cables CBL1, CBL2. The personal computer device PC converts data stored in a storage means and a control command relating to data control in the electronic music instrument EMI to MIDI exclusive data conforming to the MIDI standard, and transmits it to the electronic music instrument EMI. The electronic music instrument EMI receives electronic exclusive data, converts the received data into data of an original format such as a DOS format and a control command, and controls the storage of data.
