PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a semiconductor X-ray detector capable of efficiently and fully increasing temperature in a cryostat. SOLUTION: A semiconductor X-ray detector D for cooling a cold head 7 in a cryostat 13 by a gas-circulation-type refrigerating machine and for cooling an X-ray detection element 12' being thermally connected to the cold head 7 is provided with a means 18 for directly heating at least one portion of the inside of the cryostat 13.
