PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure glass panel strength, to reduce in profile and to enhance explosion-proof. SOLUTION: In this cathode-ray tube, a reinforcement glass 6 is adhered to a panel glass 2 through a heat-resistant resin 4. The heat-resistant resin 4 is applied to the surface of the panel glass 2, the reinforcement glass 6 is adhered to the panel glass 2 through the resin 4, the resin 4 is hardened, the panel glass 2 adhered with the reinforcement glass 6 is heat welded to a funnel glass 11 and then the cathode-ray tube is evacuated.
