PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device with a communication function that informs a user about the arrival of an incoming call during photographing without disturbing the photographing. SOLUTION: The image pickup device with a communication function has an automatic mode where an incoming call notice form can automatically be selected in response to the device state at the arrival of an incoming call. In the decision of a notice form in the automatic mode, the notice form is decided with an incoming call notice circuit 424 on the basis of a detected current setting mode, a contained state of an electronic view finder EVF 13, and an operation parameter stored in an area of a flush memory 452 and specifying the incoming call notice form. In this case, the state of the image pickup device is assumed on the basis of the detected setting mode and the contained state of the EVF 13 and the notice form optimum to the assumed device state is selected. |
