PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of removing to the utmost unstable elements relating to the structure of preventing stains of the objective lens in an optical pickup. SOLUTION: This optical disk device is equipped with a turntable 3 rotatably driven by a spindle motor 2, a feeding mechanism 10 supported freely movably in the radius direction of an optical disk to be placed on the turntable 3, and an optical pickup 15 that reciprocates between the inner and the outer circumferences of the optical disk in accordance with the movement of the feeding mechanism 10. In addition, the device is provided with a shutter 17 which is disposed on the chassis that becomes a fixed part near the turntable 3 and which is designed to be freely movable between a closed position for covering the objective lens 16 of the optical pickup 15 and an open position for exposing the objective lens 16, in accordance with the reciprocating movement of the optical pickup 15. |
