PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrolyte having high ionic conductivity and sufficient mechanical strength even having thin thickness by impregnating a nonaqueous electrolytic solution in a medium including glass-ceramic powder of lithium ion conductivity. SOLUTION: Preferably, this composite electrolyte is so formed that a glass ceramic body has a means grain size 20 μm or less (volume fraction) and the maximum grain size 44 μm or less, and composed of particles of lithium ion conductivity 1×10-4 S.cm-1 or more, a medium is formed by containing glass ceramic powder in a sheet polymer material, has the thickness 100 μm or less, and has the ionic conductivity 1×10-5 S.cm-1 or more, and the content of the glass-ceramic powder bodies in the medium is 10-90 wt.%. This lithium secondary battery comprises a positive electrode current collecting element 1, a positive electrode 2, glass-ceramic composite electrolyte 3, a negative electrode 4, and a negative electrode current collecting element 5. The composite electrolyte has lithium ion conductive glass-ceramic powder bodies therein so as to provide a secondary battery with superior battery capacity. |
