PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easily collectable data even from a remote management- device by constituting a management device so that it can instruct to shift from an energy saving mode to an ordinary mode (or vice versa) in an image forming device. SOLUTION: The management device is composed of a key card display part 101, a card 102, and a key card reading machine 103. In such a composition, in the case an image forming device is shifted to an energy saving mode at the time of collection of data from a collecting device, an energy-saving-mode cancellation command is transmitted to an image forming device connected to the management device. The image forming device thereby cancels the energy saving mode and supplies power to the management device. Actually, because the supply of power only to the management device is enough, complete restoration is not caused, and shift to a mode other than the energy saving mode (an ordinary energy saving mode + a mode for supply of power to the management device) may be allowed. Also, it makes it possible to inform the image forming device of the finish of the collecting operation and to shift to the energy saving mode again. |
