PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a toner reflective image excellent in whiteness by specifying an L* value in CIE 1976 (L*a*b*) color space and a value represented by (a*)2+(b*)2. SOLUTION: The color electrophotographic image receiving material has at least one toner image receiving layer containing a thermoplastic resin on the substrate. The L* value of the image receiving material in CIE 1976 (L*a*b*) color space is >=91 and the value represented by (a*)2+(b*)2 is 0-10. Preferably the L* value is 91 to <93 and the value represented by (a*)2+(b*)2 is 0-2, or the L* value is 93 to <96 and the value represented by (a*)2+(b*)2 is 0-4, or the L* value is >=96 and the value represented by (a*)2+(b*)2 is 0-10. One or more optical whitening agents are preferably contained in one of the constituent layers including the toner image receiving layer.
