PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the heat generation in a junction between an endoscope and a light guide cable and to avoid imparting an uncomfortable feel to an operator. SOLUTION: The endoscope device has the endoscope 1 having as light guide fiber 16 for transmitting illumination light to illumination a part to be examined and the light guide cable 8 having a light guide fiber 10 for connecting the endoscope 1 to a light source device 1 and transmitting the illumination light from the light source device 1 to the endoscope 1 side, and is constituted by connecting the endoscope 1 and the light guide cable 8 in the juncture 6. In such a case, the juncture 6 of the light guide cable 8 and the endoscope 1 is provided with a through-hole 30 for communicating the inside space of the juncture 6 where the end 28 of the light guide fiber 10 on the light guide cable 8 side and the end 18 of the light guide fiber 16 on the endoscope 1 side exist to face each other with the outside.
