PIEZOELECTRIC VIBRATOR AND PIEZOELECTRIC SOUNDING BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the sound volume with no increase of power by forming a hole piercing through a thin plate-like piezoelectric element at the center part of this element for a piezoelectric vibrator having the piezoelectric element stuck to a foil-like diaphragm. SOLUTION: A piezoelectric vibrator 2 consists of a piezoelectric element plate 21 having electrodes sputtered on its both main sides and a diaphragm 22 made of a metallic foil where the element 21 is adhered. The plate 21 has a hole 20 piercing through its center part. Then the vibrator 2 is set into a casing 1 with the plate 21 under the diaphragm 22 and the fringe of the diaphragm 22 is put on a stage part 11. Thus, a hole is drilled through the plate 21 of the diaphragm 22, so that the amplitude can be increased to the applied AC signals without increasing the power consumption compared with a conventional sounding body having no hole of a piezoelectric element.
