PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging method of a heat developable photosensitive material having such a packaging form that can be charged into a film magazine in a light room and to provide a heat-developable photosensitive material which suppresses the effect of humidity and the occurrence of pressure fog. SOLUTION: In this method, the heat-developable photosensitive material for a printing plate containing photosensitive silver halide, an organic silver salt, a reducing agent for silver ions, a contrasting agent and a binder is wound around a cylindrical core member in a roll shape, both ends of the core member are covered with appressed light shielding flanges 7 and the outside of the photosensitive material is covered with a leader 3 having 40-150μm thickness.
